Tagane and Kogane

Taganeya makes Tagane and Kogane rice crackers. These crackers are grilled over charcoal one by one, just like the old days.

They are enjoyed as a treat, or as a snack to go with sake and Western wines alike.

The texture of rice grains, the flavor of soy sauce, the crackers’ rustic appearance and simple yet refined chargrilled flavors have earned them a great reputation as heartfelt items, and they are widely used as a gift, among other uses.

Tagane

Tagane rice crackers offer the rice’s grainy texture and taste of flavorful tamari soy sauce.

These tamari soy sauce rice crackers are made from glutinous and non-glutinous rice dough, and are baked piece by piece over charcoal with great care and love.

There are two kinds to choose from, based on the thickness of the dough: Atsu and Usu.

[Atsu] Thick,traditional style.

[Usu] Thin,recent invention.

Enjoy with others the rustic appearance and simple yet refined hand-chargrilled flavors of these crackers.
